Controls Engineering Manager

About the role

Dematic Corp is seeking a Controls Engineering Manager to lead a team of project execution engineers within its Project Engineering Organization. The role focuses on tactical project execution, team capability growth, and cross‑disciplinary alignment in the material handling and logistics automation space.

Key responsibilities

• Own project performance and outcomes for the direct engineering team, ensuring quality, on‑time delivery, and cost targets.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and regular performance reporting to management and peers.
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, staffing decisions, and utilization across multiple projects.
• Participate in pre‑sale technical reviews and drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives.

Required profile

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of engineering management or people‑leadership experience.
• 8+ years in material handling or logistics automation (preferred).
• Proven communication, leadership, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of CAD design software, specifically AutoCAD.
• Experience with PLCs, particularly Allen‑Bradley and Rockwell platforms.
