Project Engineer - Multifamily Construction

About the role

A growing Atlanta-based company that integrates development, design, off-site modular manufacturing and construction is hiring a Project Engineer for multifamily construction. The engineer supports the execution of projects from preconstruction through completion, working with Project Managers, field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, architects, engineers and owners. The salary is $100,000-$120,000 per year.

Key responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with planning and execution of multifamily construction projects
• Assist with schedules, budgets, procurement, documentation and project coordination
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals and other construction documents
• Coordinate RFIs, drawing updates, inspections, punch lists and closeout
• Assist with CPM scheduling and Primavera P6
• Track progress, milestones, costs, commitments and financial performance
• Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor costs and change orders
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, materials and equipment
• Take part in jobsite meetings, inspections and project walks, track deficiencies and identify schedule, cost, quality and procurement issues
• Maintain accurate project records and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders

Required profile

• 2-5 years of commercial or multifamily construction experience
• Strong understanding of construction processes and project documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with construction submittals and RFIs
• Understanding of construction accounting, cost tracking and project financials
• Preferred: multifamily or mixed-use, podium, large-scale residential or commercial, modular or off-site construction, preconstruction and estimating, and project scheduling and controls
