Project Engineer

About the role

Nestlé USA is seeking a Project Engineer to lead the introduction and optimization of fixed assets across its manufacturing sites. The role supports the full project lifecycle from concept through closeout, ensuring assets meet business needs and contribute to long‑term ROI.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate clear communication among team members, site management, engineering, packaging, and business units.
• Maintain client requirements and design projects for low cost, high efficiency, and flexibility.
• Ensure safe, clean, and maintainable work sites and reliable post‑commissioning operations.
• Define scope, deliverables, performance metrics, and milestones for external engineering services and contractors.
• Prepare monthly progress reports and keep projects within agreed cost and schedule.
• Train operators, mechanics, and electricians, and provide all documentation needed for equipment hand‑over.
• Complete final project reports and circulate to key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Process, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of technical experience in project engineering or management.
• Strong technical, managerial, and leadership capabilities.

• Plant design and construction.
• Food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Financial analysis and business driver understanding.
• CAPEX budgeting and preparation.
• Proficiency with Capital Investment Approval & Tracking (CIAT) tool.
