Project Engineer / Assistant Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Project Engineer who will also act as an Assistant Project Manager. In this dual role you will drive construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring they stay on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor assigned engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
• Interact daily with clients to interpret needs and represent them on‑site.
• Perform overall quality control of budget, schedule, plans and personnel performance; report project status regularly.
• Assign responsibilities, mentor team members and cooperate with the Project Manager.
• Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions when needed.
• Manage all aspects of construction, enforce building and safety regulations, and coordinate subcontractors.
• Identify, assess and mitigate potential issues throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 3 + years experience as a Construction Project Engineer.
• Deep understanding of construction management methods, building products and codes.
• Strong leadership and crisis‑resolution abilities.
• OSHA 30 certification and EM 385 certification.
