Project Architect (Senior)

About the role

FXCollaborative, a Brooklyn‑based firm known for sustainable design across a wide range of project types, is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead design initiatives and ensure high‑quality execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the design process with a high level of proficiency and expertise.
• Coordinate project documentation, construction plans, and details while maintaining quality control.
• Direct production of schematic, design development, and construction documents in collaboration with Project Managers.
• Review shop drawings, material samples, and construction documents for conformance with design intent.
• Ensure compliance with agency reviews such as accessibility, zoning, and life‑safety requirements.
• Mentor staff, oversee assignments, and facilitate effective coordination with partners, clients, and consultants.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional architectural experience.
• Registered architect (preferred) and LEED accreditation (preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Bachelor of Architecture program.
• Strong design sensibility combined with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
