Project Architect - Mixed-Use Architecture & Design

About the role

A collaborative architecture and design firm with offices in Charlotte and Raleigh, NC is looking for a Project Architect. This is a hands-on role for someone who loves good design, enjoys working with clients and consultants, and can keep a project moving from documentation through construction. You will work closely with Project Managers and Principals, help guide project teams and mentor emerging architects.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers and Principals to develop project deliverables
• Lead project documentation and help keep projects on track
• Mentor Intern Architects and emerging team members
• Coordinate with consultants and resolve design and technical issues
• Participate in client meetings and help build strong relationships
• Support construction administration and project closeout
• Take part in design and problem-solving throughout the project

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture from an accredited program
• 3+ years of experience as a Project Architect
• Multifamily and/or office experience preferred
• Strong understanding of documentation, consultant coordination and construction administration
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Organized, collaborative, comfortable taking ownership, with a genuine interest in architecture and design

Required skills

• Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop and MS Office proficiency preferred
• Good design instincts and strong technical skills
• Team-first attitude, confidence with clients and consultants, and willingness to mentor others

The positions are based in Charlotte, NC or Raleigh, NC, within a collaborative studio where you can take ownership and work across project phases.
