Project Architect

About the role

LaBella’s Architectural Division in Albany, NY is seeking a Project Architect to lead design and construction efforts across a variety of markets, including corrections, healthcare, education, residential, commercial, and municipal projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with large project teams and external subconsultants to ensure project milestones are met.
• Delegate tasks to the Project Technician and coordinate interdisciplinary work.
• Assist the Project Manager with client meetings, design team meetings, and construction administration.
• Maintain project documentation and oversee technical design deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.
• 6‑10+ years of architectural experience.
• Self‑motivated with strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Ability to foster a positive, collaborative work environment.

Required skills

• Thorough knowledge of New York State building codes.
• Strong technical design and construction document preparation.
• Proficiency in graphic presentation and project planning.
• CAD experience (AutoCAD and Revit).
• Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and MS Project.
