Program Quality Engineer

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Program Quality Engineer to lead cross‑functional continuous improvement projects that enhance manufacturing efficiency and ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead continuous improvement events such as Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, and Standard Work.
• Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) initiatives, including PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.
• Perform process walks, operator observations, and verification of improvements.
• Maintain a visible quality metrics dashboard linked to company goals.
• Recommend updates to QMS procedures, work instructions, and forms.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing quality role with hands‑on continuous improvement project experience.
• Strong ability to influence teams and lead without direct authority.

Required skills

• Structured root cause analysis methods (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DIVE).
• APQP and PFMEA expertise.
• Working knowledge of AS9100D and 14 CFR Part 21 requirements.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and interpret inspection data.
