About the role
Wise Path Recovery Center in Williamson, WV, partnered with Ascension Recovery Services, is seeking a Program Director to lead its healthcare program. The role oversees clinical, recovery, and operational teams, ensuring high‑quality, person‑centered substance use disorder treatment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership for clinical, recovery, and program staff.
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and retain high‑performing team members.
- Foster a trauma‑informed, accountable, mission‑aligned workplace culture.
- Oversee performance management, coaching, and corrective actions.
- Direct daily program operations to ensure safety, quality, and consistency of care.
- Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with ARS standards.
- Partner with clinical leadership to deliver evidence‑based, individualized treatment.
- Support staffing plans, scheduling, and operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with West Virginia licensing, Joint Commission standards, and other regulations.
- Maintain survey readiness and documentation integrity.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions, and grievance resolution.
- Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with ARS leadership, admissions, and clinical teams to support census growth.
- Represent the facility in the local community and support referral relationships and outreach.
Required profile
- Minimum five years progressive leadership experience in substance‑use‑disorder treatment, healthcare, business management, or facility operations.
- At least three years in a supervisory/management role with direct reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in human services, business, management, or related field (preferred).
- Experience with regulatory compliance and accreditation, preferably Joint Commission.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage change, and drive program performance.
- Strong communication, judgment, and problem‑solving abilities.
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
