Program Director – CIST Networking Specialist

About the role

Columbus Technical College is seeking a dynamic leader to direct the CIST Networking Specialist program. The Program Director will design and deliver curriculum, evaluate student outcomes, and stay current with advances in cybersecurity and instructional theory. This full‑time, exempt position supports flexible scheduling, including day, afternoon, online, and evening classes.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and design engaging courses aligned with the Technical College System of Georgia curriculum.
• Develop course outlines, goals, and objectives that support student learning outcomes.
• Create an effective learning environment using diverse instructional methods.
• Collaborate on program reviews, curriculum revisions, and assessment of learning outcomes.
• Participate in division, college‑wide meetings, and related projects or surveys.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and budget requests for the program.
• Develop promotional materials and maintain program certification requirements.
• Ensure safety and security standards in training areas.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation, reports, and administrative records.
• Recruit, retain, and graduate students, and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or a master’s in business with required coursework in the teaching discipline.
• At least one year of professional experience in the computer information systems industry.
• Ability to teach high‑school students and travel across multiple counties as needed.
