Program Coordinator II – Forensic Nursing

About the role

The Program Coordinator II – Center of Excellence in Forensic Nursing works under general supervision, collaborating with leadership to plan, develop, implement, and monitor nursing education programs for the College of Nursing.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate continuing education activities, speaker packets, and scheduling of presenters.
• Manage day‑to‑day forensic nursing education program activities, learner registrations, and team meetings.
• Organize in‑person and online healthcare trainings across the state and ensure CE application approvals.
• Oversee data and grant management, including documentation, reporting to funders, and budget compliance.
• Communicate with stakeholders, provide resources to patients, and monitor program deliverables against deadlines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• Minimum four years of related experience.
• Unencumbered Texas RN license (or compact license eligible for Texas).
• Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing applications (e.g., Microsoft Word).
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Experience using database applications.
