Professional Social Service Worker – Waycross RYDC (CCR)

About the role

Under broad supervision, the Professional Social Service Worker provides rehabilitation counseling, referral services, and resident evaluation for youth at the Waycross RYDC facility. This part‑time position works less than 30 hours per week and is hourly paid.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake services and mental health screenings for youth, ensuring timely completion per policy.
• Perform comprehensive mental health assessments, interview youth and families, and coordinate with health professionals.
• Develop and implement treatment and crisis‑management plans, providing individual, group, and family counseling.
• Document assessments, referrals, and treatment plans accurately in the youth’s record.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct intake, screening, and assessment activities under supervision.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality regulations and agency policies.
• Capacity to provide therapeutic counseling and crisis intervention for youth.
