Professional Librarian (Evening Shift)

About the role

The State of Georgia, through Central Georgia Technical College, is seeking a Professional Librarian to support staff, faculty, and students on an evening shift. This position will maintain a comprehensive library environment and provide reference, circulation, and research services.

Key responsibilities

• Catalog and process library materials following standard practices.
• Supervise physical processing, circulation, and interlibrary loan services.
• Recommend, order, and track acquisition of library resources and equipment.
• Provide technical support for library software and automated systems.
• Deliver reference and research assistance using a variety of information resources.
• Compile usage and circulation reports and develop library policies.
• Assist in supervising Warner Robins library staff and may travel between college locations.

Required profile

• Knowledge of library classification systems (Dewey Decimal, Library of Congress).
• Understanding of accreditation standards and Technical College System of Georgia policies.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with campus personnel.
