Production Supervisor

About the role

IKO Industries Ltd., a manufacturer of roofing and building materials, is hiring a Production Supervisor in Jacksonville. Reporting to the Production Manager, the supervisor oversees safety, quality, production and personnel on the assigned shift, ensuring targets and deadlines are met safely while complying with safety, quality and operational standards. The role includes leadership, coaching and support of the shift team and driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure employees work safely and efficiently in line with regulatory and company policies
• Supervise shift personnel to meet production and quality standards and plan shift schedules
• Provide manufacturing leadership, including discipline and performance management
• Apply lean tools, improve processes and maintain departmental documentation
• Identify training needs, coach employees and run training, cross-training and rotation
• Ensure safety, production and quality training and comply with OSHA and company safety regulations
• Inspect safety, lead weekly crew meetings and investigate safety incidents and hazards
• Evaluate performance, recommend and implement production improvements, and stay within SOPs and quality procedures
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and collaborate with other supervisors

Required profile

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in industrial technology, engineering, business administration or management preferred
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Supervisory experience in high-speed, continuous process manufacturing is an asset
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
• Time management, planning and organizational skills

Required skills

• Continuous improvement tools such as TQM, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• MS Office proficiency
• Knowledge of the Workday time and attendance system is an asset
