Production Operator

About the role

Join 3M’s Decatur, AL manufacturing facility as a Production Operator. You will work on a rotating 12‑hour shift, collaborating with a global team to ensure safe, high‑quality production of our products.

Key responsibilities

• Observe all safety procedures and keep the work area clean and safe.
• Apply quality instructions and specifications to production and packing operations.
• Monitor production lines to meet quality objectives.
• Load and unload material into and from equipment.
• Share information, solve problems, and assist teammates.
• Follow all safety policies and process standards.
• Perform data entry, record required tests, and adjust processes to meet specifications.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping.
• Handle hazardous waste in accordance with federal and state regulations.

Required profile

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (verified before start).
• Ability to work rotating 12‑hour day/night shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum one year of plant or manufacturing experience in a public, private, government, or military setting.
• Willingness to complete any required 3M testing as part of selection.
