Production Mechanic

About the role

The Production Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment at Bosch’s Charleston plant. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machinery to meet safety, quality, and production targets while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, process, and repair or replace defective parts such as gears, clutches, bushings, shafts, bearings, solenoids, valves, pumps, and direction controls.
• Monitor operations, reduce scrap and rework, audit parts, and adjust setups to maintain quality production.
• Analyze equipment problems, perform repairs, or initiate corrective actions when issues exceed scope.
• Lead corrective actions for out‑of‑control conditions and instruct associates on proper machine use.
• Optimize processes, reduce setup time and downtime through continuous improvement activities.
• Control parts flow, monitor production quantities, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Perform line and machine changeovers and maintain an organized workspace.
