Production Mechanic

About the role

As a Production Mechanic at Bosch Charleston you will ensure that manufacturing equipment runs safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of mechanical components to meet safety, quality, and production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, process, and repair or replace defective parts such as gears, clutches, bushings, shafts, bearings, solenoids, valves, pumps, and direction controls.
• Monitor operations, reduce scrap and rework, audit parts, and adjust setups to maintain quality production.
• Analyze equipment problems, perform repairs, and initiate corrective actions when issues exceed scope.
• Apply Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) concepts to improve quality, equipment effectiveness, and reduce downtime.
• Instruct associates on proper use of machines, tools, and measuring instruments.
• Control parts flow, monitor production quantities, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies.
• Maintain an organized workspace, perform line and machine changeovers, and achieve required production volumes.
• Complete technical training and collaborate with operators and manufacturing teams.
