Production General Helper

About the role

The Production General Helper provides general labor and housekeeping support in the steel bar processing plant. This entry‑level position trains across all steel processing lines and fills in where needed.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general labor tasks such as cleanup projects, storage maintenance, scrap cutting, bar conditioning, and minor plant projects.
• Use hand tools, grinders, banding tools, overhead cranes, and other mobile equipment to remove damaged pieces, stack and band products, and assist crews.
• Carry out janitorial duties including cleaning offices, windows, floors, wastebaskets, toilets, and cafeteria areas.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and adhere to environmental regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability and willingness to qualify for sequential positions and work extra help assignments.
• Attendance, punctuality, and focus on quality workmanship.

• Operation of overhead cranes.
