Production Engineer

About the role

Stepan is looking for a Production Engineer to join its Anaheim plant team. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will help ensure safe, reliable and efficient manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor process data to understand production performance.
• Collaborate with operators to troubleshoot daily issues and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Visit control rooms regularly to support equipment reliability and quality concerns.
• Work with R&D and Quality Control to achieve "right the first time" product specifications.
• Issue Management of Change (MOC) documents for process modifications and follow up on actions.
• Assist in Process Hazard Analyses and manage related corrective actions.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and effective time‑management.
• Ability to collaborate with management, operators, vendors and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SAP (preferred) and other ERP systems.
• Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience.
• Microsoft Office suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
