Product Technology Manager

About the role

Reliable Safety and Flow Corporation seeks a Product Technology Manager to act as the technical bridge between the company, its customers, and industry partners. The role involves educating users, supporting internal teams, and representing Reliable at key industry events.

Key responsibilities

• Answer technical questions on Reliable products via phone and email.
• Provide technical training for Reliable personnel and external customers.
• Maintain and create technical documentation.
• Meet with specifying engineers, end users, and customers to discuss product use, features, and benefits.
• Deliver technical presentations at industry associations and events (AFSA, NFPA, NFSA, SFPE).
• Plan and execute hands‑on and classroom training for sprinkler system designers and fitters.
• Support the sales force and represent Reliable at industry events.

Required profile

• Associate degree in fire protection, mechanical technology, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of fire sprinkler system design and installation experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and operate a 15,000 lb pickup‑truck/trailer combination.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Detailed knowledge of NFPA standards and FM Global Loss Prevention Data Sheets.
• Extensive understanding of fire sprinkler systems, design, and installation practices.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Capability to operate and maintain a valve demonstration trailer.
