Product Specialist – DCM Associate/Analyst

About the role

Santander is seeking a motivated Product Specialist for its Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team. The role focuses on originating, structuring, and syndicating traditional 4(a)2 debt private placements and other credit products for major corporations and institutional investors.

Key responsibilities

• Originate, structure, distribute, and syndicate debt private placements and credit products.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support origination activities.
• Prepare offering memoranda, engagement letters, and pitch‑book presentations.
• Conduct transaction due diligence and industry/market research.
• Support senior US Private Placement (USPP) team members with financial, operational, and competitive analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in DCM, USPP, business development, or product specialist roles.
• Proven track record executing DCM‑USPP transactions.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and relationship‑management abilities.
• Excellent presentation and public‑speaking skills.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
