Product Manager - Variable Speed Solutions

About the role

ABB is hiring a Product Manager for its Motion NEMA Motors business, with local (US) responsibility for the Material Movement & Specialty Solutions Business Line. The role reports to the Global Business Line Leader and is fully onsite. It calls for a customer-focused, collaborative person who drives profitable growth through all product life-cycle phases, aligned to market needs, product strategy and business targets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the regional product strategy and offering roadmap, define technical specifications and growth plans aligned to market needs.
• Lead product lifecycle management: track performance, drive cost and upgrade actions, and decide on portfolio evolution and end-of-life.
• Act as technical liaison between local markets and cross-functional teams, supporting development stage gates, localization and product launches and ramp-up.
• Analyze customer needs and market trends, prioritize development, set technical, cost and price targets, and run go-to-market and communication strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of experience, or an Associate's degree and 12 years, in a complex industrial manufacturing environment.
• Progressive experience in product management and customer relationship management.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement and strategic mindset.
• Work authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Required skills

• Technical, sales and go-to-market knowledge of AC motors and applications (preferred).
