Product Engineer – Ball Screw Division

About the role

Moog’s Industrial Group is launching a new Ball Screw Division in the United States and needs a Product Engineer to lead the design and development of precision ball screw products. This position offers high visibility, technical ownership, and the chance to shape a strategic growth initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Design ball‑screw assemblies and components based on customer specifications.
• Create product layouts, 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Support new product development and engineering changes for existing products.
• Maintain product definitions, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, industrial engineering, and operations to optimize designs for production.
• Assist in the design of manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and process improvements.
• Participate in design reviews, technical problem‑solving, and continuous‑improvement activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in product or mechanical design.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software and creation of engineering drawings.
• Experience producing detailed product documentation, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Preferred experience with ball screws, roller screws, power‑transmission or precision motion systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ERP systems, configuration management, and engineering change processes.
• Exposure to aerospace, defense, industrial machinery, or motion‑control applications is a plus.
