Product Development Associate – Accessories

About the role
Rag & Bone is looking for a detail‑oriented Product Development Associate to join its Accessories team. You will act as the bridge between design concepts and factory execution, overseeing the full product lifecycle from prototype to production.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain daily WIP files for prototypes, material trials, approvals, and SMS.
- Own spec management from SMS through production, ensuring accuracy at all times.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with factories and provide timely, solution‑oriented feedback.
- Monitor SKU counts by category and update across each sample round.
- Attend cross‑functional meetings to communicate product changes promptly.
- Track sample delivery status and proactively inform cross‑functional teams.
- Flag product concerns to Merchandising and Design during development and production.
- Lead development and sourcing of raw materials (leather, textiles, trims) from initial development through production.
- Manage seasonal colour standards and approvals, distributing colour masters to factories and suppliers.
- Compile MDS and costing information from suppliers and relay to factories.
- Counter‑source materials that fall outside price or MOQ targets.
- Evaluate suppliers on specialty, cost, quality, and lead times; conduct regular cost exercises.
- Code all sample and material invoices and ensure timely submission and payment.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Product Development, focusing on soft accessories or leather goods.
- Highly organized with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
