Product Development Assistant – Outerwear

About the role
The Product Development Assistant will support the Levi’s outerwear product development team in New York City. This fast‑paced position involves managing samples, materials, and technical documentation to help bring commercially successful collections to market.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in developing and approving new materials and trims, maintain seasonal trim charts, and organize reference files.
- Create and update production BOMs, send fit comments, and track communications with vendors.
- Request and manage sample orders, coordinate sample logistics, and ensure timely delivery to sales and marketing partners.
- Produce technical drawings, mini‑walls, specs, and costing files; assemble presentation tools for milestone deadlines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in product development or a related apparel field.
- Knowledge of apparel construction, BOMs, and development processes.
- Experience in a high SKU volume environment is preferred.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel (pivot tables, V‑lookup, data manipulation).
- Proficiency with PLM systems.
- Adobe Illustrator.
- Adobe Photoshop.
What we offer
- Hourly compensation ranging from $26.45 to $26.85 (approximately $55,000–$60,000 annualized based on a 40‑hour week).
