Product Designer

About the role

Abbode, a fast‑growing embroidery and personalization brand based in New York City, is seeking a Product Designer to lead the creation of accessories and apparel. You will own the design process from concept through production, ensuring each piece is ready for customization.

Key responsibilities

• Design accessories and apparel such as pouches, bags, totes, towels, charms, and new product lines.
• Create sketches, CAD files, and presentation materials that clearly communicate design intent.
• Develop tech packs and bills of materials for seasonal styles.
• Collaborate with the Embroidery Design team to integrate personalization features.
• Drive development with Product Development and Production, maintaining design intent while meeting cost, quality, and timeline targets.
• Research trends, materials, and market insights to shape design direction.
• Participate in fittings, providing feedback on fit, construction, and design.
• Coordinate cross‑functionally with Merchandising, Wholesale, and other teams to keep product lines cohesive.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in apparel or accessories design.
• Strong understanding of silhouette, fit, construction, and technical design.
• Passion for personalized products and ability to translate customization concepts into design.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.
