Product Designer – Candles (Hard Home Goods)

About the role

We are seeking a creative Product Designer to lead the development of candle collections within our hard home‑goods division. The role is based in New York City and requires four days on‑site each week, collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to translate brand strategy into market‑ready products.

Key responsibilities

• Create innovative candle concepts that align with brand strategy, consumer insights, and market opportunities.
• Develop mood boards, color stories, and seasonal design directions.
• Produce CAD drawings, renderings, and detailed product specifications for manufacturing.
• Prepare comprehensive tech packs and ensure designs meet quality, safety, cost, and manufacturability standards.
• Review samples, provide feedback, and iterate throughout the development process.
• Design packaging solutions, including labels, cartons, and gift presentations.
• Research trends, conduct competitive analysis, and contribute to future product strategies.

Required profile

• 4–6+ years of experience designing hard home‑goods, preferably candles.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across design, merchandising, and production teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• CAD proficiency for product development.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
