Procurement Coordinator – Lake Charles, LA

About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will manage the end‑to‑end purchasing process for quality spares and supplies, ensuring timely delivery and cost‑effective sourcing for Bristow Group’s operations in Lake Charles, LA.

Key responsibilities

• Initiate, track, and close purchase orders while maintaining accurate need and arrival dates.
• Source vendors for new parts, evaluate cost, condition, warranty, and timing.
• Identify alternative vendors when original suppliers cannot meet deadlines.
• Coordinate delivery of parts to the required base and manage core part returns.
• Adjust purchase order dates or ship‑to locations as directed by the Planning group.
• Communicate required paperwork for life‑limited and overhaul parts with Quality Control.
• Support global procurement activities, including documentation and vendor engagement for international assignments.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of procurement principles, transportation cost structures, and negotiation techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to provide weekend AOG support on a rotational basis.
• 1‑5 years of procurement or subcontract execution experience in a materials management or supply‑chain setting (preferred).
• Familiarity with general accounting principles and inventory financial impact (preferred).

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
• ERP and purchasing software experience – RAMCO, Oracle.
