Procurement Category Lead - Construction Services & Operations

About the role

Bitdeer, a technology company for AI and Bitcoin mining infrastructure, is hiring a Procurement Category Lead for its Central & West US sites (Rockdale, Texas, Reno, Nevada, Wenatchee, Washington and possible additional Texas sites). As the primary procurement contact and Tier 1 Category Leader, the role bridges technical engineering requirements and commercial execution so that high-value equipment and services arrive on site, on time and within budget, while supporting supplier partnerships and sustainability goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop and execute proactive, TCO-driven sourcing strategies
• Lead or take part in bidding, negotiations and contract management
• Manage internal and external cross-functional relationships and work with stakeholders to optimise specifications and requirements
• Independently lead the RFP process, including vendor identification, bid leveling and commercial comparisons
• Draft and negotiate Statements of Work (SOWs) and amendments aligned with Master Service Agreements (MSAs)
• Serve as the primary procurement point of contact for assigned sites, attending project review meetings and keeping communication with site and project teams
• Manage the requisition-to-purchase workflow and oversee the procure-to-pay process
• Maintain sourcing records, active order tracking and work closure (cradle to grave)

Required profile

• BS/MS in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or a similar field
• 3-5 years in procurement, supply chain or a related analytical role (Finance/Operations)
• Strong personal presence for challenging, confrontational situations
• Ability to read a bill of materials (BOM) and distinguish critical infrastructure components (e.g. UPS vs. PDU)
• Advanced Excel is a must; SQL or Tableau is a significant advantage
• Preferably local to Central Texas (Rockdale / Austin area), with regular travel to Rockdale, TX and periodic travel to Reno, NV
