Process Support Engineer

About the role

As a Process Support Engineer (PSE) you will guide products through their entire lifecycle, from concept to final qualification. You will provide high‑visibility customer support through on‑site installations, system diagnostics, and the service and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with customers to qualify equipment, co‑develop processes, optimise operations and troubleshoot epitaxial hardware.
• Tailor tool performance to meet specific customer process and integration requirements.
• Assess and approve operational quality of systems and instruct customers on operation and maintenance.
• Act as liaison between customers and Business Unit experts to deliver suitable solutions.
• Provide on‑site support for installations, diagnostics, troubleshooting, service and repair of complex equipment.
• Continuously learn new systems to address evolving engineering challenges.

Required profile

• Strong foundational understanding of chemistry, physics, materials, statistics and semiconductor device physics.
• Business expertise on best practices, market competitors and integration of equipment.
• Leadership ability to mentor less‑experienced colleagues and lead small, low‑risk projects.
• Problem‑solving skills to address complex issues and develop new perspectives.
• Impact orientation to influence customer, operational and project activities within broad guidelines.
• Interpersonal skills to communicate sensitive information, build consensus and chair customer meetings.
