Process Support Engineer IV

About the role

As a Process Support Engineer (PSE), you’ll play a critical role in guiding products through their entire lifecycle, from initial concept to final qualification. You will provide high‑visibility customer support through on‑site installations, system diagnoses, and the service and repair of complex systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between the customer and the Business Unit for assigned projects, ensuring clear understanding of customer issues and delivery of applicable solutions.
• Work closely with customers to optimize tool performance to meet process and integration requirements.
• Check and approve operational quality of system equipment.
• Instruct customers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
• Provide on‑site installation, diagnosis, troubleshooting, service, and repair of complex equipment and systems.
• Work across technologies such as Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal and Implant.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years in Semiconductor Capital Equipment or a similar high‑tech industry.
• Preferred 5+ years experience in Applications or Process Engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field.
• On‑site location in Hillsboro, OR.
• Travel required up to 25% of the time.
• Relocation eligible.

Required skills

• Knowledge of three or more semiconductor processes across one or more technologies.
• Experience with Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, and Implant.
• Statistical data analysis.
• Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Root cause analysis.
