Process & General Maintenance Lead

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Process & General Maintenance Lead to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our chemical and API manufacturing facility. The role blends equipment maintenance, process support, and building upkeep, requiring a practical problem‑solver with solid mechanical skills and basic process knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safety‑first mindset; enforce OSHA, EPA, and GMP standards, perform LOTO and hot‑work procedures.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, piping, mixers, and tanks.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues, coordinate external contractors, and support production equipment readiness.
• Perform general building repairs – painting, carpentry, plumbing, light electrical work, and maintain facility infrastructure.
• Keep exterior areas, loading docks, and storage spaces clean and hazard‑free.
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in SAP or the plant’s tracking system.
• Identify improvement opportunities, recommend upgrades, and support small capital projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
• 5+ years of hands‑on maintenance experience in a chemical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, and basic electrical repair.
• Ability to read maintenance manuals, safety procedures, and basic schematics.
• Familiarity with GMP and OSHA safety practices.
• Basic computer literacy; SAP experience a plus.
