Process Engineering Associate

About the role

The Process Engineering Associate joins Nestlé’s Technical Applications Group to support machinery maintenance, capability evaluation, and process improvements for dry pet food production. You will provide expert technical assistance across multiple manufacturing sites, partnering with cross‑functional teams to solve quality and equipment challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate process capabilities, identify limitations, and recommend cost‑effective solutions for dry pet food production.
• Partner with internal groups such as R&D, engineering, operations, quality, and finance to drive continuous improvement.
• Troubleshoot process challenges, support trials, and validate equipment or process modifications on‑site.
• Assist with capital improvement projects, line enhancements, and factory capability studies while providing hands‑on support.
• Travel 50–60% to manufacturing sites to build relationships and gain a deep understanding of equipment and process flow.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in food sciences, engineering, or related field with at least 6 months of relevant experience, OR High School/GED with 4+ years of process/product design experience in food or feed manufacturing.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50–60% of the time.
