Process Engineer – Manufacturing Innovation

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join its Inserts Production team in Westminster, South Carolina. The role focuses on driving process innovation, quality improvements, sustainability initiatives, and Digital Transformation 4.0 projects while supporting the production of world‑class cutting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes and process formulations.
• Evaluate existing production methods and identify opportunities to improve quality, productivity, safety, and cost performance.
• Provide daily technical support to production teams, resolving process, equipment, product performance, and quality‑related issues.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Design, implement, and validate process improvements and production enhancements.
• Lead capital investment projects that support advanced production technologies and new product development.
• Support sustainability and Digital Transformation 4.0 initiatives by identifying, evaluating, and implementing emerging technologies.
• Collaborate with R&D, production technology centers, suppliers, and global production facilities to drive innovation and best practices.
