Process Development Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking a Process Development Engineer to drive innovative equipment and manufacturing processes for its eVTOL and eCTOL products. You will design, build, and validate novel manufacturing methods while collaborating with product design, materials, and processes teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ideation, creation, and development of advanced manufacturing processes.
• Prototype, test, and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment.
• Support commissioning, validation, and regulatory compliance of tooling and equipment.
• Fabricate and modify parts, including machining and welding tasks.
• Develop maintenance, troubleshooting, qualification, and calibration documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Self‑starter, well‑organized, disciplined team player with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks or CATIA preferred).
• Experience developing advanced manufacturing processes such as additive manufacturing, automation, vision systems, and laser welding.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, preferably ASME Y‑14.5.
