PRN Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician (Physician)

About the role

Ochsner Children’s Hospital is seeking a PRN, fellowship‑trained Developmental‑Behavioral Pediatrician to join the Ochsner Medical Complex – The Grove in Baton Rouge, LA. The physician will provide comprehensive care for children with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning and intellectual disabilities, and cerebral palsy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide independent, interdisciplinary diagnostic developmental‑behavioral consultations for infants, children, and adolescents across the full spectrum of neurodevelopmental disabilities.
• Collaborate with the Boh Center team—including nurses, NPs, social workers, psychologists, therapists, and administrators—to improve access to diagnostic services and address treatment gaps.
• Educate medical students, pediatric residents, and community pediatric professionals as part of Xavier‑Ochsner College of Medicine and University of Queensland‑Ochsner Clinical School programs.
• Assist in developing a fellowship program in Developmental‑Behavioral Pediatrics.
• Contribute to clinical research and scholarship under the mentorship of the System Medical Director, and engage with regional and national academic organizations.

Required profile

• Fellowship‑trained in Developmental‑Behavioral Pediatrics.
• Extensive clinical experience with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning/intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, and related conditions.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary health professionals and support program development.
