Private Equity Associate – Healthcare

About the role

The firm is a growth‑oriented private equity investment house focused on healthcare. The Private Equity Associate will join the San Francisco investment team and work across the full investment lifecycle, from sourcing opportunities to exit planning.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and execute healthcare investment opportunities.
• Conduct financial analysis, industry research, and commercial diligence.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and LBO models.
• Prepare investment memoranda and present findings to senior professionals.
• Support transaction execution, including management meetings, diligence coordination, financing, and negotiations.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and identify strategic value‑creation initiatives.
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory dynamics.

Required profile

• 2–4 years of experience in investment banking or private equity.
• Strong transaction execution experience with advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
• Interest in healthcare sector; prior healthcare experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple live transactions in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
