Print Shop Manager – Large-Format Production & Operations

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Print Shop Manager to lead our on‑site large‑format production team. The role ensures efficient workflow, high‑quality output, and excellent client service across all print operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with shop leadership to provide operational and administrative support.
• Organize and supervise the production workforce during regular and extended shifts.
• Monitor jobs, communicate special instructions, proof approvals, and shipping details.
• Serve as the primary client contact for job specifications and production details.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and cost guidelines.
• Train staff on print shop procedures, workflows, and equipment usage.
• Oversee maintenance and upgrades of large‑format printing equipment and recommend new technology.
• Manage inventory, materials, and supply organization to support efficient production flow.
• Resolve customer issues and escalations professionally.
• Support multiple departments and step into production roles as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
• 3–5+ years of experience in print production, large‑format or grand‑format printing, or print shop operations.
• Demonstrated leadership supervising production teams.
• Strong customer service and client communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and capacity to manage multiple projects.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
