Principal Solution Architect (Azure)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a hands‑on Principal Solution Architect to design and evolve high‑level and detailed architectures for new product features while enhancing existing capabilities. The role involves leading code and architecture pairing with engineers and delivering scalable, cost‑efficient solutions on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Define high‑level and low‑level designs, create architecture decision records, and validate decisions through experiments and load testing.
• Build reference implementations and proofs of concept in C#/.NET and React/Node to de‑risk patterns, performance, and operability.
• Design event‑driven and streaming architectures using Azure Service Bus, Functions, App Services, AKS, and API Management.
• Guide modern React (TypeScript) architecture, ensure clean API contracts, and drive observability with OpenTelemetry and Azure Monitor.

Required profile

• At least 7 years of production software development experience, including 3+ years as a hands‑on architect or principal engineer.
• Deep proficiency in C#/.NET, ASP.NET Core, React (18+), TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Extensive experience with Azure services such as App Services, Functions, AKS, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
