Principal Sales Infrastructure Analyst, Analytics Engineering
Atlassian
Job description
About the role
Atlassian is looking for a seasoned sales data analyst or analytics engineer to drive data alignment between enterprise go-to-market and finance. You will design clean, robust data pipelines and infrastructure to monitor data drift between systems such as Salesforce, Oracle Fusion, Gainsight and Databricks, and help evolve the data stack so that AI agents can interact safely.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain data infrastructure that ensures data quality, consistency and accessibility for analytical workflows.
- Lead the development of data products and an AI context layer that scales analytics and data access across the company.
- Build and maintain canonical datasets with high-volume, reliable ETL/ELT pipelines using data lake and data warehousing concepts.
- Partner with finance, data engineering and other cross-functional teams to track and flag data inconsistencies that affect accurate closing of books.
- Run sizing analyses and impact assessments for infrastructure changes, and investigate source data quality.
- Own the full lifecycle of core system data transformations and develop SME-level knowledge for them.
- Use available tools to remove manual processes and improve source data accuracy, and investigate bugs with business analysts and data engineering.
Required profile
- 6+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, data science, business intelligence or a similar field.
- Senior leadership-level independence in structuring complex, ambiguous problems and collaborating across many partners (sales systems, sales enablement, sales compensation, marketing, product, finance).
- Proactive engagement with management to improve data and decision-making.
Required skills
- Expert SQL and data modeling; ability to architect data models and influence engineering teams.
- Quantitative programming language, preferably Python.
- BI tools such as Tableau and Looker, and CRM systems like Salesforce or HubSpot and ERP systems like Oracle or NetSuite.
- Understanding of software and analytics engineering practices, including safe use of AI tools.
