Principal Applied AI Product Manager

About the role

Associated Bank is looking for a Principal Applied AI Product Manager to discover, build and deliver AI-enabled products that improve revenue workflows, banker capacity, operating efficiency and adoption across Corporate and Commercial Banking. The role works directly with frontline users, turns business problems into practical capabilities and owns assigned products from discovery through governed release and adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Own assigned AI-enabled products from discovery through release, adoption and continuous improvement.
• Work with bankers and business stakeholders to turn frontline needs into products with defined outcomes, delivery paths, governance and adoption measures.
• Translate complex problems into user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog priorities, release scope, success measures and tradeoffs.
• Lead complex products with limited oversight, coordinating priorities, testing, controls, release readiness and issue resolution.
• Build in risk, controls, data privacy, responsible AI and regulatory expectations, and engage risk, compliance, data and technology partners.
• Monitor usage, quality, adoption and risk, and use the evidence to improve products.
• Configure and deliver practical AI capabilities such as agents, retrieval patterns, data flows, workflow automations and system integrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Economics or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 6+ years of product management, digital product delivery, AI, analytics, data products, workflow automation or related experience.
• 6+ years leading complex products or programs with limited oversight and measurable outcomes.
• 3+ years influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving adoption in a regulated environment.
• Preferred: advanced degree, relevant certifications, experience in AI, analytics, automation or digital product delivery, familiarity with LLMs, AI agents, AWS Bedrock, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Salesforce, and 2+ years in financial services or client-facing roles.
