About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking board‑certified or board‑eligible physicians in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine to join its primary‑care team in Lake Charles. The position offers the chance to provide comprehensive outpatient care within a supportive, integrated health system.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality primary‑care services to a diverse patient population.
• Manage medication refills through a dedicated refill center handling over 70% of requests.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record for documentation and care coordination.
• Collaborate with specialist and ancillary services to ensure seamless patient care.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, with Ochsner On‑Call reducing call burden.
• Leverage remote‑messaging nurses and outpatient care managers for complex cases and social‑determinant support.
• Engage in digital‑medicine initiatives for chronic‑condition management.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Newly trained physicians or those with clinical experience are welcome.

Required skills
