About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a dedicated Primary Care Physician to join its clinical team. The physician will deliver comprehensive outpatient care, diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure high‑quality patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Examine patients, establish diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
Prescribe medications, therapies, and follow‑up care as needed.
Document all patient encounters promptly in the Electronic Health Record.
Coordinate referrals and additional evaluations with specialists.
Maintain accurate coding for all visits.
Adhere to Ochsner’s policies, credentialing standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

Board‑certified or board‑eligible in a primary medical specialty.
MD or DO with an active medical license.
Credentialed and committed to ongoing clinical practice.
Demonstrated professionalism and collaborative mindset.

Required skills

Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Knowledge of medical coding and documentation standards.
