Preconstruction Manager (Fort Collins)

About the role

We are seeking a Preconstruction Manager to join our Fort Collins office. The role oversees the pre‑construction phase, coordinating owners, design teams and subcontractors to ensure projects are accurately scoped, costed and scheduled before bidding.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate pre‑construction processes with owners, designers and subcontractors.
• Assist operations in selecting projects to bid and develop multiple estimates and budgets simultaneously.
• Create and maintain pre‑construction schedules and front‑end bidding documents for each project.
• Define scopes of work, generate bid schedules and manage bid turnover to the project management team.
• Establish and nurture relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Review final cost reports, conduct post‑bid reviews and support proposal preparation and presentation.
• Lead the take‑off and bid solicitation process, including value‑management opportunities to keep budgets on track.
• Facilitate the transition from pre‑construction to construction, ensuring project managers and superintendents are engaged early.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience in estimating, proposals, project management or related pre‑construction functions.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented self‑starter with strong integrity.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with hard deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proactive attitude, accountability and ownership of the pre‑construction process.
