Pre Clerk – Part‑time Administrative Support

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Pre Clerk to join its South Windsor, CT Service Center on a part‑time basis. The role provides essential administrative support to dispatchers and drivers, ensuring smooth communication and accurate paperwork processing.

Key responsibilities

• Answer calls on a multi‑line phone system and route them to the appropriate contacts.
• Enter data and process driver paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Assist dispatchers with routine tasks and documentation.
• Perform general office duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• Ability to multitask with a strong sense of urgency.
• Dependable, well‑organized and computer literate.
• Strong office, telephone and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of Windows, Outlook and other Microsoft products.
• Preferred: 2+ years of clerk or similar experience in a fast‑pace environment and freight‑logistics exposure.
