Practice Manager (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medicine is seeking a full‑time Practice Manager to oversee the operations of a single‑specialty medical practice on the UHealth campus. The role combines administrative leadership with clinical coordination, acting as a key liaison among physicians, staff, patients and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical supervision to ensure effective delivery of patient services.
• Develop, implement and monitor operating policies in line with University regulations.
• Prepare operational and financial reports, analyze trends and recommend improvements.
• Manage clinic schedules for 38 physicians, coordinate time‑off requests, and maintain provider profiles in Kyruus.
• Oversee outpatient clinic opening/closing, template revisions, and reimbursement processes.
• Supervise and train Clinical Business Operations Representatives for ID and HIV clinics.
• Conduct utilization reviews, track clinical goals and ensure compliance with health‑care regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in managing a medical practice or similar health‑care operation.
• Strong knowledge of health‑insurance trends, government regulations and medical technology.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop policies and drive operational efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills to serve as an ambassador to patients, physicians and external organizations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Kyruus scheduling platform.
• Experience using Cerner electronic health record system.
• Familiarity with Uconnect support tools.
