Power Technician 1 – Field Service

About the role

Join Aggreko as a Power Technician 1 in New Iberia, LA, where you will keep critical power, heating, cooling and oil‑free air systems running for a variety of customers, from short‑term events to long‑term remote operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC units and oil‑free air compressors both in the shop and on‑site.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at customer locations and execute corrective repairs.
• Set up, commission and operate equipment independently or alongside another technician.
• Travel locally each day using a company vehicle and be available for overtime, weekends and occasional longer‑term travel.
• Obtain and maintain a TWIC card or DOT medical card when required by the customer.

Required profile

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience with power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift objects up to 50 lb.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends and occasional travel.
