Power BI Developer & Data Analyst (Architect Level)

About the role

The Power BI Developer / Data Analyst / Power BI Architect will turn raw data into actionable insights for the business. You will design interactive dashboards, build complex data models, and write advanced DAX queries while ensuring data security and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, publish, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Create complex data models, relationships, and schemas; write advanced DAX formulas for calculated columns and measures.
• Connect to diverse data sources (SQL Server, SharePoint, Azure, APIs, Excel) and perform ETL using Power Query (M language).
• Optimize report performance, refresh efficiency, and underlying query speed.
• Collaborate with business users and cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions.
• Implement data governance, row‑level security, and access controls to ensure data integrity.

Required profile

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of required drug screening and physical examination.
• TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) required before offer acceptance.
• MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) training to be completed upon hire.

Required skills

• Power BI Desktop and Service (workspaces, scheduled refresh, app distribution).
• Power Query and M language.
• Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
• Data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and star‑schema modeling.
• Data visualization best practices (drill‑throughs, bookmarks, KPIs, conditional formatting).
• Advanced Excel, including VBA and macros.
• Python for data wrangling and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP environments (ECC, S/4HANA, BW) for data extraction.
