Powder B Operator – Manufacturing

About the role

Join KIK Consumer Products as a Powder B Operator and play a vital part in the daily operations of our manufacturing facility. You will work in a fast‑paced environment that prioritises safety, efficiency and continuous improvement while handling chemical products used in home and pool cleaning.

Key responsibilities

• Cut bags of calcium carbonate (CA) and monitor product flow and bin levels.
• Transport product to the unloading station using a forklift; manage excess product in unloading bins or super sacks.
• Record daily bag counts and report to the A operator or Shift Supervisor.
• Prepare equipment for maintenance, de‑contamination and de‑energizing, including shoveling product from equipment and floors.
• Respond to plant emergencies such as product decomposition, power failures, spills, fires or explosions, and wear a Self‑Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) when required.
• Collect product samples for processing and maintain housekeeping and safety inspections in assigned zones.
• Recycle bags of recyclable material and file inventory tags in numerical order.
• Assist co‑workers and perform additional duties as directed by the supervisor.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of forklift experience in a chemical‑industry setting.
• Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment for extended periods.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a manufacturing environment.
