PostgreSQL Database Administrator

About the role

Infosys is seeking a PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join its Cloud unit. The role involves managing and optimizing PostgreSQL environments for enterprise clients across multiple U.S. locations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and client teams to resolve complex incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and document preventive recommendations.
• Evaluate client IT infrastructure, prepare assessment reports and support due‑diligence activities.
• Design scalable, cost‑effective infrastructure solutions and develop technical documentation for deployed systems.
• Coordinate release schedules, execute deployments, conduct post‑deployment testing and manage version control.
• Maintain maintenance windows, emergency fixes and technology upgrades while ensuring seamless integration.
• Analyze performance data, support capacity planning and optimize system behavior.
• Conduct security checks, recovery drills and compliance audits.

Required profile

• Strong background in database administration, preferably with enterprise experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and communicate technical findings clearly.
• Experience in incident management, root‑cause analysis and documentation.
